Singing Lessons for Primary School Children

MJ Modern Music singing lessons and private tuition

When people think of singing lessons the general conception is a choir or private tuition. We offer a unique service to primary schools that has captured the imagination and enthusiasm of hundreds of pupils. With shows like 'Glee', 'X-Factor', 'Must Be The Music', 'Britain’s Got Talent' and 'American Idol' singing is more popular now than ever before. The lessons consist of warm-ups, song learning, individual and group performances. Children are encouraged to be supportive of one another and to complement each other’s efforts in class. Pupils are given the chance to write their own songs, sing some of their favourites and even learn microphone techniques.

The focus of these lessons is on modern and contemporary music, this also includes some of the best music from the 20th century. Our fun and talented teachers have inspired children to perform songs in front of their teachers, peers and parents. They have given encouragement in academic and social areas, showing children the value of working in a group and achieving personal goals. Singing has been shown to bring out the best in children.

A Parent of one of our pupils has said:

Verity Bartlett (Parent)

"I have found after a term of singing classes, it has really boosted my daughter's self esteem and made her more confident in other areas of study such as reading. This has been great for her, as she has, like many other children suffered with shyness. My son also attends MJ Modern Music guitar lessons and he is greatly enthusiastic about the lessons and music. He says he wants to be just like his teacher."
